What Other Insurance Products Does Wawanesa Offer?

Wawanesa Insurance covers a broad area other than auto insurance. Below is the list of what Wawanesa offers:

Wawanesa’s home insurance offering is divided into three types- basic, broad, and comprehensive plans- which help clients decide what they need without complicated research.

Wawanesa’s Basic, Broad and Comprehensive home plans all include buildings, contents and Loss of Use, but they apply perils differently. Basic lists covered events; Broad generally covers buildings against losses not excluded while contents are covered for listed events; Comprehensive covers buildings and contents against losses not excluded. Common exclusions can include terrorism, war, nuclear events, vacancy over 30 days, business or farming operations, and wear and tear. These are not accurately described as ‘national disasters.’

Wawanesa’s condo insurance can cover belongings, loss of use, personal liability and condo-specific exposures such as unit improvements, collectively owned property and condominium deductibles. Comprehensive coverage responds to losses not specifically excluded; common exclusions include terrorism, war, nuclear events, vacancy over 30 days and wear and tear.

Condo-specific coverage is divided into four types for specific needs. Collectively owned condominium property coverage protects you from unexpected costs related to common property. Condominium unit coverage covers losses that your condo corporation won’t cover. Condominium unit owner improvements coverage covers the cost of upgrading your unit. Condominium deductible coverage covers condo corporation deductibles up to 25K.

Wawanesa offers Basic, Broad and Comprehensive seasonal-residence packages, with options such as Water Defence, residence-under-construction, construction-by-law and short-term-rental coverage. Its Comprehensive seasonal package includes features such as unlimited food spoilage, all-risk contents coverage, guaranteed replacement cost, building-by-law coverage and additional living expenses. Seasonal Residence coverage is currently unavailable in Quebec, and all coverage remains subject to the policy.

Wawanesa’s tenant insurance offers comprehensive coverage. Of course, they have tenant-specific coverages, which cover upgrades you’ve made to the rented home or permanently installed items you’ve added, but those are optional plans.

Wawanesa offers customizable farm insurance for agricultural homes and operations. Coverage can include farm property, machinery, livestock, commodities and liability, with optional protections selected through a broker. Farm Essential Bundle features unless matched to the current policy wording.

Wawanesa’s current small-business packages serve contractors, business and professional services, retailers, wholesalers, salons and realty risks, with additional options for automotive-service businesses, restaurants and other eligible operations. Packages can include property, business income, liability, crime, equipment breakdown, legal expense and cyber coverage, subject to the selected policy.

Wawanesa Life offers individual term life, whole life and critical-illness products, along with investment and savings products. Product availability, issue ages, renewal ages and terms depend on the current contract. Wawanesa Life does not currently offer individual life insurance or investment products to Quebec residents.

Wawanesa Life’s group offerings include life, disability, critical illness, health and dental benefits, spending accounts and support services, with plan design depending on the employer. Wawanesa’s range is categorically broader.
